Alister
VIC Teacher
English: Secondary, Senior & Lantite
Alister completed his Diploma of Teaching in 2015, followed by his Master of Teaching in 2016, at the University of Melbourne. He also completed his Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Criminology, at Monash University in 2013. Alister has experience as a casual relief teacher for over 1.5 years, in English as a Second Language in Berlin, and more recently as a casual relief teacher in Australia. Alister is passionate about helping students develop their oral and written communication skills as they work towards achieving their educational goals.
Rohan
English: Secondary & Senior
Rohan completed his Bachelor in Communication (Honours) at the University of Newcastle in 2008. He also completed a Diploma in Screenwriting at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in Sydney in 2009 and a Certificate in Student Mentoring at NSW TAFE. Rohan started tutoring English 5 years ago. His teaching style is to meet the individual needs of each student, acknowledging that students are at different points in their learning and possess different learning needs.

Arshia completed her Year 12 Certificate in 2020 with an ATAR of 95.20 and a high passion for subjects such as English Language, General Mathematics, and Method Mathematics. Arshia is now undertaking a Bachelor of Science with a major in Computing and Software Systems at the University of Melbourne. Arshia has worked in tutoring for almost two years and really enjoys inspiring the next generation of students and loves passing on her knowledge.

Based on the state and national curricula for Years 11 and 12, Cluey’s approach to senior Maths focuses on advanced topics, such as calculus and statistical analysis, and is intended to prepare you for Maths at a tertiary level. Lawrence completed his Year 12 certificate with an ATAR of 94.25. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at University of New South Wales. Lawrence has vast experience tutoring both Mathematics and English. He aims to deliver engaging and enjoyable lessons to students of all abilities to help them achieve and exceed their academic goals.

Amanda has completed her Bachelor of Biomedical Science with Honours (First Class) and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate, Medicinal Chemistry at Bond University. She has 4 years' experience tutoring Chemistry at a university level as well as 2 years of experience tutoring year 11 and 12 students online. Amanda is a passionate Tutor. Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.
Session breakdown
First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
- Discuss student’s areas of focus (if first session)
- Review previous session's assigned practice (if subsequent session)
- Set session learning goals
45 Minutes
During the session
- Work through exercises based on the topics and concepts for each learning goal
- Tutor demonstrates, guides and explains concepts
- Work through any challenges
- Students are encouraged to explain their thinking to clarify their comprehension
