Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.

Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.

Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Enya is currently studying a Bachelor of Music at Monash University and loves reading. Having the opportunity to help individuals understand different concepts, and consequently gain confidence with their ability, independent thoughts and ideas, is something which she is very motivated to achieve. Throughout Enya's time in High School, and thus far in University, she has realised that everyone is capable of doing anything they want to do, and when things are unclear, they just need to be explained in a different and personalised way.

Simone is a qualified, registered Teacher with 13 years of teaching experience. She completed her Bachelor of Education, in 2008. She has experience as a Casual Relief Teacher through all Primary and Secondary years and since 2018 she has been working in Outside of School Hours Care. Simone cares about the student as a whole, including their emotional, cognitive and physical needs and believes that every student can benefit from extra one-on-one time with an Educator who is altruistic. She wants to see her students accelerate, but most importantly find a renewed love and passion for learning. Simone believes that tutoring is a not a job, but a privilege.

Ananya

NSW University Student (Bachelor of Advanced Science / Music)

Ananya completed High School as one of the top students in her class, and was a former Dux of her school. She is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) and Music at UNSW. During High School she was a Peer Tutor for English advanced students, as well as being a member of the Science and debating clubs. Bianca completed her Victorian Certificate of Education in 2018, achieving an ATAR of 97.55. In 2019 she commenced her Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne. Bianca has 1 year of experience in formal tutoring to Primary students in years 4 and 5 and Secondary students in English and Mathematics in one on one and group settings. Bianca enjoys seeing students grow in their confidence and in their love for learning.

Aaron completed his Victorian Certificate of Education in 2014, with an ATAR of 95.65 going on to complete her Bachelor and Graduate Diplomas in Psychology. He has 5 years tutoring experience, primarily tutoring Mathematics with years 5-12 Victorian Certificate of Education Methods. Aaron understands the importance of not only knowing what his students need to learn, but also how they learn, and alters his tutoring in order to best facilitate each student's learning. His goal is to help students become confident independent learners.
