Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.

Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.

Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Madonna is a qualified, registered Teacher, holding her Bachelor of Education (Arts). She has experience teaching primary to senior secondary English in Victoria and over ten years' experience tutoring Literacy skills and Literacy support in specific subjects. She is currently tutoring Primary, Secondary and Victorian Certificate of Education students. Madonna enjoys reading and literature and sharing this love with her students. She encourages a hands-on learning environment, challenging students and encouraging independent learning.

Maria has 18 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language, both face to face and online. She has experience with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of knowledge. Maria is a committed and enthusiastic Teacher with a passion for language and literature.

Tim is a qualified, accredited Teacher specialising in English and Society and Culture. He holds his Masters of Education (Secondary) graduating from the University of New England in 2021. Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary Maths focuses on developing students’ numeracy skills with algebraic techniques and properties of geometrical figures in Years 7 and 8, and functions, indices and data analysis in Years 9 and 10. Chemistry: Senior

Parul holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Microbiology as well as a Master in Biotechnology (Advanced) in Immunology. She has tutored Chemistry and Biology to students in Years 10 to 12. Parul's experience has helped her learn to devise different plans for each student as every child has a different grasping level and understanding.

Mathematics: Secondary & Senior

Shamron commenced his Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Wollongong in 2017. He has 2 years of formal tutoring experience in Engineering, Mathematics and Physics teaching. He also joined a university led tutoring group to assist peers. Shamron is a straightforward, outgoing Tutor with a passion for imparting the knowledge he has onto his students as they work towards acquiring educational independence.
